Editorial

Given that much of the available platforms in South Africa and elsewhere are broad and targeted at a national or international level, whether we are talking about economics, history, art, music or platforms centered on these themes,

we felt it was necessary to present these areas with a local perspective. History, like economics, art and music, remains relevant not only for restorative purposes but for the revival of memories that continue to shape today's world. Another motivation behind this platform is the need to challenge myths and fallacies regarding the African continent while supporting the promotion of rapid African economic growth. The platform will also encourage the sharing of information towards an African economy that works. We are determined to ensure we focus on young people. Many are skilled, yet the information they need often fails to reach the spaces they occupy. This platform does not claim to be the only voice. Similar platforms exist and will continue to exist. Our aim is simply to contribute ideas and possible solutions to the challenges faced. If you enjoy history, philosophy, social sciences, or subjects often considered "no longer relevant", keep checking this page. One day we may invite you to join us in retelling the Mzansi story — and the broader African story.
